The Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) is collecting personal information about you in order to establish a responsible service of gaming (RSG) training account in your name to enable you to complete RSG training and to maintain a record of your RSG training.
Your RSG training account will enable you to:
- complete online training modules
- update your personal details
- view your training records
- view and download copies of your RSG training certificates of completion.
If you do not establish an RSG training account, you will be unable to complete the mandatory RSG training required to work in the gaming area of a gaming venue in Victoria.
Any personal information collected by DJCS and stored in the RSG training learning management system will be handled in accordance with the requirements in the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 and as required by other laws.
You may access and update your personal information at any time by logging into your RSG training account. Through your account you will be able to download copies of your certificates of completion and view your training records.
The Venue Support Workers employed by the Department of Health who deliver face-to-face RSG training will also be able to view your account details (name and email address) and your training record in order to record completion of face-to-face RSG training courses by you. Your information may be shared with the Department of Health and Venue Support Workers for the purposes of correctly recording your face-to-face RSG training records.
Your information may also be accessed by enquiries officers employed by the Department of Government Services if you contact the RSG training Helpline for assistance with your account.
DJCS may share your information with other areas of government if required to by law. You can gain access to the information we hold about you by making a Freedom of Information request (visit www.justice.vic.gov.au).
